Street Law
I'm doing this program called Street Law. It's a program where you go into the intercity and teach simple law principles to at risk youth. For example, you teach them what are your rights as employee, renter, etc. My teaching partner and I prepared on Sunday and got ready and went out to the school. I was standing there and noticed that there were a lot of students hanging around outside and many of them were waiting for rides to go home. I was a little puzzled about this situation and I didn't know what was happening. We went inside to meet up with the teacher and she said that they had sent the kids home for the week because of some threats made toward the teachers. She pulled us into her office and on the wall what written, "U teachers must die!" and "U have been warned!" I realized this was probably more than an idle threat. Keys were missing and the school now has to be rekeyed. Next Monday, we are presenting on what rights students have as far as searches and also, talking about threats made toward teachers. What a nice warm welcome to street law.

But you know what? Information is the greatest tool a person can have, and here you are informing those that don't have much information. This will protect them, but also the teachers.
Jay, you are "the change in the world that you wish to see."
