The main reason that I raced off to Utah after returning from Europe was due to the fact that my Grandpa had come been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. I helped out in Wyoming by building a stand for the electric pump to water the garden and the couple acres of grass that they own. I also glued some conduit and ran wires underneath their mobile home. Grandpa was worried about his upcoming surgery but didn't say much about it and just was stressed without saying it (you wonder where I get it from). One of the things growing up was fishing with Grandpa. I basically grew up without a dad and wonder if I still have one, but Grandpa always did those types of dad things with me. With the typical broken home background, I'd have to say that if it wasn't for my Grandparents I don't think that I would have made it this far. As you can see by the pictures you also know where I get my charming bald head from.
After surgery I went up to the hospital many times by myself. It was just Grandpa and me. It was nice to spend some time with him by myself and I know that Grandpa loves me. We watched movies and I would take him on his walk circiling the floor. I'd make him walk slow because he wanted to take off walking fast as usual. Every time I would leave big tears would well up in my eyes. I didn't like seeing him in a hospital gown with tubes and what not coming out of his body. I'm glad that he is ok and the surgery was a success. It's hard for me to imagine life without him.
