Highest High and the lowest low

My buddy caught me in a rare free moment to announce the birth of his daughter. I was so incredibly excited for him. As I was leaving Utah there were some things going on in his life. I wasn't sure if he would be married or not for much longer. I was rather bumbed about it. I love both him and his wife. I supported him in his time of need. He pulled me through some bad shit way back when a few years ago. I was more than happy to stand by him when he need a friend. Things were a little iffy when I left a year ago. When I saw him next there was a definite change. He was happy. I don't know what happened and I didn't ask but he was happy. Now, to listen talk about his brand new baby was amazing. Here is this large man talking about his wife sleeping while he held his daughter and just loved her. I could picture this tiny little baby curled up in his arms. It made my day to hear how excited he was about life. It still brings a smile to my face.
