Today was a good day

Much like the Ice Cube song today is a good day. I got to work on time (which is a miracle in and of itself). I read an article about Madrid and sung Guantanamera in my head. A girl I know told me that I should run for SBA president. (which I'm secretly considering). I'm sitting in a Coffee shop by the door in a nice comfortable chair with my coffee, the smell from the flower shop next door. I went to the bookstore today and spoke with the Black lady who worked there who is so nice and happy. She asked my what type of lawyer I wanted to be and I shyly said "a good one." I told her that I was from a lower middle class family and wanted to help those type of people. She said "oh yous from da hood," with a big grin on her face. I was like ya. She was like there are a lot of poor people through the world you could take it international. I said, ya I speak Spanish and she started speaking to me in Spanish. She was such a cute not so little lady, but darling nonetheless. I'm sure she sees a lot of "lawyers" in there and I was so glad she took time to invest a little time in saying a little more to me. It kind of made my day. The small things matter so much because the big things can be so overwhelming and its remembering to be human and to interact with one another that makes it awesome.
