People are stupid

The US Supreme Court has granted certiori to hear a http://www.sltrib.com/ci_8757127 Utah case on free speech. It has to do with a weird religious group that wants to put up their beliefs next to the 10 Commandments in some park in (not so) Pleasant Grove. I was ashamed to call myself a Utahn with the uneducated dialogue that ensued. There were a few people correcting other people (thank God). All the quotes that people alleged were incidents of government endorsement of religion were from a time when leeches were considered medical technological advancements. There were a few people that advocated for the removal of religious items from a public park and I applaud them. The larger issue is that people are not informed and don't make the effort to learn. They rely on minimal understanding and make huge assumptions. Which only proves to show how much they don't know. Just read the comments you'll see it too.
