Katrina Relief

I've been sitting at the table for a couple of days and still managed to keep up my school work. I know I'm a rock star. I have been so impressed with the generosity of people. People have dropped 100 bucks without thinking twice about it. One professor that has a reputation of being a hard ass and grumpy, grades really hard, wrote a check for 500 dollars. I've heard that he has done it for other groups as well. Students would drop 20 or 40 bucks at a time. Amazing. I think it is neat that there are people willing to rally around a cause and support by contributing what the can and even sometimes more than they can. Needless to say I'm humbled by the opportunity to go. I'm glad that I decided to go. There was a concern for money and being able to afford it. I'm glad I don't let that stand in my way any more. I would never have "enough" money to do half the things that I've done and look I'm still breathin. I have a roof over my head, food on the shelf and coffee spilled on my shirt.
